About me

How you would like to feel in life? Fulfilled, stable, confident?

What is holding you back? Anxiety, depression, self-esteem?

If your mental health is affecting your work, studies or relationships, you are less likely to be productive or be able to live your life to the full.

As a qualifed Cambridge based therapist, who offers online and face-to-face individual counselling to adults, I am here to help you address some of the challenges you are facing and offer you time and a private space to help you work through them.

Whilst I counseI for a number of personal issues, I have a particular interest in workplace wellbeing and work-life balance, having experienced the pressures, pushes and pulls of working in a number of sectors and internationally.

If you are suffering from stress, anxiety and burnout, are dealing with difficult  colleagues, or bullying and harassment, it may be helpful to talk to someone independent of your organisation to help gain perspective and think through your options.

Whatever is on your mind, I will work with you to help you gain a better understanding of your issue, help you in developing coping strategies and find a way forward that feels right for you, so that you can live a calmer, more fulfilling work or personal life.

That begins with providing you with a confidential, non-judgemental space where you will be listened to, where you can speak your truth and where sessions respect the pace at which you need to work.

My integrative approach means that I draw from a variety of therapeutic ways of working to help shed light on your problem. Ultimately I am led by you and the issues you bring to counselling and our discussions could evolve in a number of directions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP) and am keen to build on my knowledge through regular attendance on courses (CPD).

I currently see adults in my private practice who are experiencing a range of issues and work part-time on behalf of Anglia Ruskin University as a student counsellor.

I have a degree in languages and with that comes an interest in different people and cultures. I have lived abroad and travelled internationally for my work, giving me good awareness of intercultural issues.

I have worked in a variety of organisations including corporates, SMEs and the public sector, mostly in education and publishing.

I have experience of commercial roles but have also worked as a teacher, tutor and in educational support.

I hold an enhanced DBS and am fully insured.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
