About me
Hello. Life can be challenging and there may be a time when you feel you need some additional support. Perhaps you feel stuck and would like to move on from your present circumstances. If this sounds familiar, do please get in touch for an informal session to see whether you feel we can work together.
I consider myself to be warm, friendly and accepting and I enjoy meeting and working with clients from all walks of life. I have an empathic, kind and caring approach to counselling, believing that the client knows what is best for them and that the answers can be found within themselves. Being able to empower my client is an integral part of my work; a privilege to travel alongside and support the personal journey to self-discovery and change.
I work with individual adults and couples who have experienced a variety of issues, such as divorce and relationship issues; family issues; bereavement and loss; anxiety; generalised anxiety disorder; depression; anger; trauma; childhood abuse; addiction; eating disorders; self harm; low self-esteem.
I practise an integrative, person-centred approach. Person-centred counselling focuses on the relationship between counsellor and client. It is the development of trust and understanding within this relationship and the provision of a sensitive, confidential, non-judgmental environment which enables the client to acknowledge their problems and issues at their own pace and to realise solutions, with gentle encouragement and support.
Using a person-centred approach as the basis of my work, I ensure that the therapy that I offer best suits the needs of my clients by integrating other methodologies such as Creative Therapies, Psychodynamic, CBT and Existentialism.
I am a clinical supervisor, working collaboratively and creatively to support experienced and trainee counsellors with their client caseload. I’m happy to work online or face to face with supervisees.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
