About me
Embodiment Solutions Ltd offers traditional integrative counselling sessions that can be combined with boxing training and meditation.
Counselling+Boxing+Meditation
Sessions begin with a 50 minute integrative counselling session that is guided by a number of traditional approaches including person centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I also incorporate somatic work through physical boxing training interventions as well as utilising meditation techniques if this would be beneficial.
The session is followed by 40 minutes of boxing training combined with meditation. The goal of this part of the session is not to lose weight or get fit (although this does happen) but to re-establish the body-mind connection to regulate the nervous system (which is often necessary when healing from the effects of trauma), improve quality of life and build self-esteem.
Counselling+Meditation
These sessions consist of a 50 minute counselling session followed by a 10 minute guided meditation. The meditation at the end of the session is designed to help you integrate the work we have done during the session. The meditation connects us to the present moment through an awareness of the body. When we come home to the body and become aware of the present moment exactly as it is without judgement , we offer ourselves the chance to either accept it or change it. This kind of non-judgemental awareness often leads to feelings of clarity, peace and compassion for self, others and the world.
Boxing+Meditation
These sessions consist of 45 minutes of boxing coaching combined with a 15 minute meditation. You may choose not to combine these services and have counselling only. I also offer traditional boxing training sessions without counselling or meditation that are suitable for beginners through to competition level. These services are free to care leavers in the Warrington area through the Charity Pure Insight.
All sessions take place in a private work studio and are with a qualified female counsellor/boxing coach.
I am pretty flexible in my approach to creating a program that would best suit your needs. Please get in touch to find out more.
