About me

Do you suffer from counterproductive, intrusive thoughts? Are you critical of yourself, ignoring your achievements and strengths? Do you struggle with self-confidence and believing in yourself? Perhaps, you strive to make changes to your life, but no matter how hard you strive, you find that the same thinking patterns and responses occur to you repeatedly.

You may find yourself stuck in lacklustre, even toxic relationships; worse, returning to them often. You may find that you struggle with your self-image, whether physical, financial, interpersonal, spiritual or social. No matter what specific challenges you face with self-esteem or relationships, I am here to help. As an experienced psychotherapist in the NHS and private practice, I often work with clients who report these issues.

My name is Sabbir, and I am an integrative psychotherapist. I am here to guide you through your current challenges and explore the reasons why you may face them – together, we can then work towards a plan of action.

Prior to working in the NHS, I have studied at the Tavistock and Portman Mental Health Trust, a world-class institute specialising in psychotherapy training, alongside high quality mental health care and support. In addition, I have studied CBT at the internationally renowned Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience of King’s College London.

Building upon this, I offer an evidence-based integrative approach, drawing upon my extensive experience and training.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and have an MA in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy, and a clinical diploma in Family/Systemic Therapy.

In addition, I have studied CBT-based psychological intervention at Kings’ College London, and DBT with the Association of Psychological Therapy (APT).

My Qualifications:

  • MA in Psychotherapy, Middlesex University
  • Post Graduate Cert. in CBT Based Supervision, Kings College, University of London
  • Post Graduate Cert. Emotional Wellbeing in Children and Families, Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust
  • Clinical Diploma in Family and Systemic/Family Psychotherapy, St George’s Hospital
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Association of Psychological Therapy
