About me

Seeking support through counselling is an important first step to helping you with issues that you are currently facing, that are affecting you in your day-to-day life. This can be for all sorts of reasons including, support at a particularly difficult time when coping with anxiety, stress, depression, loss or bereavement; relationship difficulties, employment issues, retirement, ill health or loneliness. Counselling can be particularly effective if there's a change you want to make in your life. I can be there to help and support you with this. You've taken the first step in a new chapter in your life!

I'm a qualified Integrative Counsellor working with adults who have experienced depression, anxiety, bereavement, abuse and also low self-esteem and low self-confidence, relationship problems and family issues. I can also help with anger management.

I use a warm and empathic approach as an integrative therapist combining different elements of therapy to create a safe and confidential space from which you can explore any issue that may be concerning you. I offer in-person, online or telephone sessions.

Building on the foundation of this will help us to explore what you are seeking help with and to hopefully assist better understanding of the issue that you are bringing. I offer a neutral safe space to be heard, listened to and understood in a non-judgmental way.

As well as online and telephone sessions, I offer a calming, therapeutic and safe garden cabin space where I hold in-person counselling sessions, especially designed for clients with wellbeing in mind.

In addition to the issues mentioned above, I can also offer Older people's counselling, as I have experience of working with clients who are living with dementia and the impact this has on them, as well as their partner and family and making the decision for themselves or a loved one to move into a care home.

I offer a free initial 20-minute consultation session for you to talk about what you want to bring to counselling and/or your aims of the sessions and to see if we are a good fit to work together. If you would like to find out more then do please email me or leave me a phone message on 07895 213 604.

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
