About me
Have you had counselling/therapy in the past, or starting out for the first time? Either way, I am here to help you with online (national and international) and in-person (Manchester UK) hourly appointments at £55. As an experienced therapeutic Counsellor, or working as a Recovery/Sober Coach, I will help you release and move from the painful feelings and emotions you are probably experiencing right now, in a special compassionate client-counsellor relationship that is confidential and free from any judgment. You do not need to stay in the depths of depression, anxiety and endless low (lack of) self-esteem, feel unfilled, and not happy in your relationship(s) or lack of one. If you are caught in the trap of compulsive or addictive behaviours (sex, pornography, chemsex, gambling) or use of alcohol or drugs (street/prescribed), then there is a healthy way out and I can help you reach it. You will come to develop a more loving and respectful relationship with yourself, working through past and current experiences, pain, and trauma, and find happiness, joy, a sense of purpose, and freedom whereby you stop doing things you do not want to be doing and do more of what you need.
Does any of the above connect with you? Then read on...
Counselling or coaching with me will have a lasting positive impact on your life and those around you. You really can let go of emotional and often physical pain, make choices, and start living the healthier, loving life that you deserve.
I offer to you my years of effectively working with adults from different backgrounds and will honour your own unique experience(s) from the past and how it unfolds as the counselling moves forward. My approach is human-centeredness, which incorporates the science/theory of core aspects including mental health, emotional-physical health, anxiety, depression, human behaviour, sexuality, trauma, addiction, and relationships. At the same time, I place immense value on using the transformative healing power of more spiritual and soulful practices, including compassionate-based inquiry, mindfulness, and breath work, which I have witnessed as having fundamental positive change.
I offer you online (national and international) and in-person (Manchester UK) hourly appointments starting with 4 to 6 sessions, and then for as long as the appointments will benefit you. I am a gay man, in an interracial civil partnership, and I uphold the need for and healing potential of lovingly embracing differences which include gender, sexual, relationships (GSRD), religion, and spiritual (non)beliefs.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I am qualified and have experience in helping adults with a wide range of problems, issues and concerns. Sometimes what needs to be explored isn't even known until the counselling experience starts to unfold what is really 'knocking on the door' for healing and attention. Please do get in touch and ask any questions in relation to this and my work in general.
