About me

Hey, My name is Robert and thank you for stopping on my page for a while. As a counsellor, I've helped so many people who were struggling with all kinds of things, from relationship issues to anxiety and depression. As a counsellor I'm not here to tell you that to do, I'm here to listen, to offer practical advice, and to help you develop the tools you need to overcome any challenge life throws your way.... I know life can get tough sometimes, but as a Counsellor and someone who has suffered from mental health I truly believe that with the right support and guidance, we can all overcome our obstacles and reach our full potential.

As a counsellor, my speciality is helping people work through a wide range of challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, trauma, stress management, self-esteem and confidence, and personal growth and development.

If you're struggling with any of the challenges I've mentioned, know that you're not alone. Seeking support is a brave and important step towards healing & growth and I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey. I invite you to reach out to me to discuss how I can support you in reaching your personal goals so you can live a happier & healthier life

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a seasoned counsellor with over 10 years of dedicated experience in guiding individuals towards improved mental well-being. My academic foundation includes both a BSc in Psychology & Counselling and a MSc in Positive Psychology & Counselling where I cultivated a deep understanding of psychological theories and evidence-based practices.

Having worked with diverse populations, I bring a broad perspective and cultural sensitivity to our sessions. This experience equips me with a tailored approach to understand and address the distinct challenges you may be navigating.

I'm currently working on my PhD in psychology and I'm committed to staying updated on the latest therapeutic approaches. It's important to me to continuously learn and grow to enhance our sessions together.

Having worked with diverse clients, I understand cultural nuances and individual differences. I create a safe space for you to explore, express, and grow. I believe in collaboration, using both my knowledge and experiences to help you make positive changes.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
