About me

Hello there, my name is Rob, I am an integrative psychotherapist. I have a number of years experience working with a wide variety of mental health struggles, and am dedicated to providing a supportive and compassionate space. Whether you are struggling with something like anxiety, depression, stress, or just generally feel that you need support in understanding how you feel, I am here to work with and support you.

Reaching out can be a challenging thing to do, and I appreciate that for some, coming to meet with a therapist can be a huge step and generate a lot of anxiety.   In recognition of this, your experience with me will be very much tailored to your personal needs within the session, and we will only go at a pace that you feel comfortable with.

Whatever you want to bring to therapy, I am here to listen and support you in exploring this so that you can develop the abilities and understanding to overcome your challenges and find some resolution to them.

As a psychotherapist I work Integratively with a blend of evidence based approaches; Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Attachment. I currently hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and am working toward a Masters. Along with this I also hold a membership with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have three years experience of working with numerous different mental heath struggles, including anxiety and depression, and in doing so have had the privilege of working with and supporting a diverse range of people.

If you are looking to start accessing counselling, or are unsure and have questions, I would love to hear from you.  You can find more information on what I do on my website, and can contact me either via phone or email.  As I am often in and out of appointments I may not answer my phone so as to give people I support my undivided attention.  If you leave me a voicemail with your name and number I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

Wheelchair user access

Located on the top floor of a small business centre which does not have a lift. Online support is open and available to all. I offer online video call counselling at a reduced rate that allows access for everyone.
