About me
Im a fully qualified therapist offering in person or online counselling to adults, young adults and children over 10 years old.
I am particularly interested in helping people who are facing life changing challenges and transitions, which are proven to be difficult to deal with by themselves.
There is nothing that inspires me more than helping people who either make changes in their lives or are forced to face unwelcoming challenges and work through the difficulties they present; You may be an empty-nester rethinking and reevaluating your life, redefining yourself after a divorce or an illness, facing the challenge of immigration, or just working through the different stages in your life. Whatever your needs are, I will provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore who you are and who you can and want to become.
I see changes in life as an opportunity to reacquaint yourself with yourself, ask new questions, big or small, and readjust your inner reality to the outer one.
I strongly believe in the relationship between client and therapist. I believe that everyone has the right to be given time to be heard and reflect allowing for personal growth and self understanding. I will be walking side by side with my client supporting them on their counselling journey.
I will Support you in your journey to face your strengths and weaknesses in an honest way, I will safely guide you through looking at your priorities and daring to act on them.
I use an integrative approach to counselling, which means that I use different counselling skills to suit each individual person - including Person Centred, Gestalt, psychosynthesis, CBT and Psychodynamic Counselling.
I have a background in education and I have worked for many years with children with additional needs and learning difficulties.
I also work with families, applying the systemic method which can help those in close relationships to better understand and support each other. The systemic approach enables family members to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions safely, understand each other’s experiences and views, appreciate each other’s needs, build on family strengths, and work together to make useful changes in their relationships and their lives.
I also work for a Cambridge based charity specialising in supporting children and their families , and providing therapy at schools. (Cambridge Acorn Project)
Our first session will be an introduction session where I can get more of an understanding of why you are seeking counselling, explain how our sessions might work and give you the space to ask me any questions you might have. It will be completely up to you if you'd like to continue.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
