About me
Face to Face or Online Video Sessions Available
Hi, I'm Rachel, an Integrative Counsellor, EMDR Trauma Specialist, and Eating Disorder Specialist based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Life can sometimes feel like an uphill battle, where even the smallest challenges seem overwhelming. If you find yourself struggling with anxiety, depression, feeling constantly stressed, or having sleep disturbances. Struggling with the impact of trauma or PTSD or if your relationship with food is dominating your life, I'm here to help.
I specialise in working with PTSD, single-event traumas, childhood trauma, and eating disorders. If you've experienced a difficult life event that's keeping you stuck and affecting your emotional well-being, therapy can provide you with the tools to start healing and living the life you deserve, free from the pain of your past.
In therapy with me, you'll have a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings openly. Together, we'll work towards making sense of your emotions and creating positive changes in your life.
What I Offer
As an integrative counsellor, I tailor my approach to fit your unique needs. We're all complex individuals, and therapy shouldn't be one-size-fits-all. Whether you're seeking traditional talking therapy, EMDR trauma therapy, or eating disorder therapy, I can adapt to what works best for you.
My Background
My journey into counselling began after a life-changing event that deeply impacted my family. Experiencing the transformative power of therapy firsthand ignited my passion to help others navigate their own challenges.
Since qualifying over 10 years ago, I've worked with various services in and around Doncaster, including Rotherham Abuse Counselling Service, Doncaster Drug and Alcohol Services, and M25 Homeless Shelter, alongside my private practice.
Credentials and Support
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and registered member of EMDR UK. Your well-being is my priority, and I hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate along with full insurance.
Let's Connect
Choosing a counsellor is a significant decision, and I'm here to support you through the process. If you have any questions or would like to discuss how we can work together, please feel free to reach out. Call, text, or email to arrange a brief discovery call.
Your journey to a happier, more fulfilling life starts today. Together, we can explore and empower you to overcome challenges and embrace positive change.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
