Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

I have a number of reviews from clients I have worked with through the 'Bark' website.  Below are a small selection of them.  Please visit

Received February 2020:

'Omesh is one outstanding person, the service he gives is literally second to none.

I researched heavily for a loved one of mine, the needs were pretty complex and I spoke with numerous counsellors (5 to be precise) I found Omesh to be in a league of his own, his dedication, ambition, will to succeed, selflessness and professionalism coupled with knowledge is literally off the scale.

He is extremely approachable and very competitive.  I cannot recommend Omesh enough, he hasn't asked me for a review, I've left this for the people out there that are in desperate need of help, people that feel in the dark, helpless, feel like they have nowhere to turn, feel alone.  Let me assure you, you aren't, Omesh is one call away.  Just like he was for the person I love and referred.'

Received September 2019:

'Thank you Omesh for being with me on my journey which saw highs, lows, laughter and tears. I was comfortable even when out of my comfort zone which is credit to the commitment and passion you have for your work and the understanding of the mind, one word - "inspirational". It's good to be me, its been a long time since I have thought this and I believe the first time I have written it! There is no doubt I will miss our weekly catch ups but I move forward with a different outlook and solid foundations to work from :) '

Received May 2019:

'I was going through a very difficult time emotionally and Omesh helped me to work through the issues and accept the things that had happened in the past and how to move on to a better more positive future.
He has a very caring and sensitive nature and his counselling style is unique and makes it easy for you to open up and discuss the things that are troubling you.
I would highly recommend his services to anyone going through difficult times or struggling to come to terms with past events.
He is a genuine life saver and a great guy'

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
