About me

Hello, I'm Noreen—a warm welcome to you. I specialise in working with adults, couples, and adolescents, offering a compassionate space to explore and overcome life's challenges.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in a low mood, or navigating difficult changes at work or home, I’m here to help. Whether you're dealing with relationship struggles, frequent conflicts, lack of intimacy, or parenting challenges, I provide tailored support to guide you towards resolution and fulfillment.

Let’s move beyond feeling trapped in repetitive routines and toward a life that feels vibrant and meaningful. Together, we can begin this journey of healing and growth.

I will listen to you without judgement in complete confidence. I will offer my insights to help you explore how you would like your life to look and what you may be able to do to bring about those important changes. There's no magic wand, no overnight cure, but there is a space to decide what is important to you. We can work through any feelings of self-doubt, shame and fear and begin to hear your voice.

If you want to improve your relationships and reconnect, take action now and start being more curious about your relationships. I can help you and your partner navigate your challenges and rediscover the curiosity and passion that brought you together.

I know that this process can be a little bit intimidating reaching out for help is incredibly difficult, especially doing it for the first time.

This could be the most important step on your journey so far, it's normal to feel nervous to begin with. I will do what I can to help you feel at ease and ready for whatever comes next, I love my work being a witness to my clients' change and growth is a real privilege. I'm continually grateful to be placed in a position of such trust as they move towards a more fulfilling phase of their lives.

Adults/Seniors

You may have had expectations and judgements throughout your life, suppressed your own feelings and beliefs to be accepted, and this has worked so far, but somewhere there has been a shift and your feelings may be difficult to contain, leaving you feeling anxious, depressed, unresolved trauma being triggered? I offer a non-judgemental space where you will feel able to reflect on your thoughts feelings anxieties and concerns.

Together, in a therapeutic relationship we can explore the impact these have on your everyday life, in your relationships, recognising what triggers conflicts and old behaviours, I can support you in processing and identifying areas of difficulty and support you in moving forward.

Relationship/Couples

Are the solutions you’ve tried on your own not working or only providing short-term relief?

Are you at a loss for what solutions could even look like?

Does it feel difficult “to communicate” in ways that leave each of you feeling validated and understood?

Couples Therapy/Marriage Counselling may be the support you need to grow beyond your stuck points. As an experienced couples therapist, I will help you understand your communication style. We identify opportunities for increasing personal accountability. You improve your ability to self-reflect. We also heal emotional wounds that may block you from establishing trust and safety.

I will meet you in your relationship exactly where you are. In couples therapy or marriage counselling, we work together to embrace your current skills while identifying practical ways for your relationship to grow.

If you want to improve your relationship and reconnect with your partner, take action now and start being more curious about your relationship.

I will help you and your partner navigate your challenges and rediscover the curiosity and passion that brought you together in the first place. Don't wait any longer to invest in the health and happiness of your relationship.

Addiction

Alcohol and drug use increased during the pandemic, according to a recent 2020 survey, an estimated 25.9 million people had higher rates of alcohol consumption after Covid 19 than before, and 10.9 million had drug use increased. Is this something you have become aware of? What was occasional social, manageable use, has your occasional enjoyment become more of a dependency, a need?

Or perhaps it’s your loved one who has the addiction? Having a negative impact on you and your family’s life? “Does it feel like the right time for you to reach out? It is so common to lose yourself whilst supporting your loved one in what can seem like a rollercoaster of ups & downs, leaving you feeling anxious or depressed. I'll work with you to help you find better solutions and make decisions which bring about changes you need to make to your life.

Children & Adolescence

My experience as a mother and grandmother supported by my work with children and young people provides a 360 approach to therapy.

Working with children and young people aged 11-18 years at school & counselling associations including Places 2 Be and Entrust, I have helped many young people to understand their feelings, manage difficult times, become more aware and work towards achieving their full potential.

I believe that each child is unique, and adapt my approach to the individual.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
