About me

I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist with over 5 years of experience working within children and adolescents mental health services and several years of experience working with adults with a range of mental health difficulties.

I work with people who are struggling with difficult emotions and situations as well as people who have a diagnosed mental health condition.

Psychotherapy / counselling can provide a wonderful opportunity for us to gain understanding and relief from issues that are causing us distress. We can discover the causes which have led to our difficulties, gaining clarity and the necessary skills and understanding for a happier, more positive and fulfilling life. CBT is non judgemental and aims to help teach you the skills to help yourself. CBT looks at the way we think and behave and how these relate to our emotions.

CBT has been shown to be effective in the treatment of most mental health issues and is recommended in NICE guidelines for them.

I offer a calm, confidential and safe environment where you can explore with me what has brought you to therapy. Please feel free to text (It is likely I may be working and unable to pick up your call) or email me and I will answer any questions you may have, with no obligation.

As a member of the British Association of Behavioural Cognitive Psychotherapists (MBABCP) and member of the BPS. I abide by their codes of ethics & practice and have monthly supervision. Confirmation of my current membership details is available on request.
