About me

Working from a person centred perspective I help all generations of adults who wish to understand and confront issues, build confidence and resilience and find a way forward in life.

Working from a peaceful rural location close to Horsham, Crawley and Dorking, I offer face to face sessions in a comfortable, safe setting. I also work from a therapy centre in Horsham, very close to the train station. Both locations have free parking.

Online and telephone sessions are also available and should clients find leaving their home challenging, I can also offer home visits.  I hold an enhanced DBS certificate.

How Counselling Can Help You

Whether it is a long or short term specific issue, a feeling of not being able to cope or seeking relief from anxiety, loss, life changes or isolation, I can offer a non-judgemental, confidential environment for you to explore your feelings, thoughts and emotions and reflect on life.

Our therapeutic partnership is crucial to enable trust and understanding to build to underpin the process.

I will listen, giving you the time and space you need to share your story. I will help you to feel more confident, empowered, content and able to make choices to pursue change moving forward.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified, person centred therapist and hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

As well as my private practice I also volunteer as a counsellor for a community counselling service and also a charity that supports people who are unable to leave their homes.

Being a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) means I am a qualified practitioner providing an ethical and professional service with mandatory regular supervision and ongoing development.

I work with adults from 18+ and offer short, medium and long term therapy depending on your requirements and any financial restrictions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
