About me
Talking about your life, your problems and your feelings with a professional psychotherapist who does not know you, may seem very daunting initially, but actually most clients find the experience really helpful.
My approach is relational and I see psychotherapy as a collaborative venture; I believe that the success of the therapy will depend largely upon the quality of the relationship between the client and the therapist.
I aim to create a safe and non-judgmental environment in which any issue can be explored and place great emphasis on respectfulness, integrity and confidentiality.
I trained as an attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist and my clinical work is particularly influenced by attachment and psychodynamic theories.
I offer short-term counselling and open-ended psychotherapy to meet each individual’s specific needs.

Training, qualifications & experience
- Registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy
- Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Member of The Bowlby Centre
I am a member of the UKCP and The Bowlby Centre and abide by their codes of ethics.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I qualified as a lawyer and practised for several years. I believe this experience has made me more able to understand pressures and dynamics which get set up at work.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
