About me

I’m Minh Chi, I am a fully qualified and BACP registered Integrative Therapist based in London .

My practice is informed and inspired by the belief that we are shaped by our historic context and circumstance, which influences the way we show up for ourselves and to the world. By exploring our past experiences, imprints and coping mechanisms, we are able to understand how they may help or limit us in our growth, relationships and in work. I hope to provide a therapeutic relationship, where collaboratively we can explore how these patterns serves or hurt us, and with greater awareness and compassion, it can provide relief from pain and open up possibilities to a life that is more full and enriching.

Working with individuals and couples, I provide a confidential, non-judgmental, and supportive space—a haven to address concerns, contemplate change, and seek fresh perspectives. Emphasizing the relational aspect, I focus on the dynamics unfolding in our sessions, recognizing that many of the emotional challenges faced in other relationships will manifest in our therapeutic work together, allowing us to address them directly.

Common Issues Addressed:

I work with individuals and couples facing various challenges. Common concerns include but are not limited to:

  • Anxiety and depression, often manifesting as bodily tension, worry, fear, feeling stuck, or unproductivity.
  • Relationship difficulties with partners, children, friends, colleagues, and superiors, leading to emotions like anger, disappointment, restlessness, and monotony.
  • Childhood trauma, recent traumatic experiences, financial difficulties, illness, separation/divorce, transitions, aging, and loss of loved ones.
  • Feelings of isolation due to severed relationships, life stage changes like children or parents moving away, and a lack of community connection.

Working with couples:

In couple therapy, I approach the relationship as the focal point. From a non-judgmental standpoint, we collaboratively uncover interaction patterns leading to dissatisfaction or distance. This newfound awareness empowers each partner to grasp their genuine needs, fostering a more profound understanding of one another.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
