About me
Hello and welcome, I'm Michelle, an Integrative counsellor, and a proud member of the BACP. Whatever you are struggling with, therapy can provide a space to be listened to, and find ways to help you make progress. I offer therapy both online and also in person in Ipswich.
As an experienced counsellor I understand the complexities of issues such as, anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, and addiction. I'm dedicated to providing a safe and empathetic space for your healing.
I work with an Integrative approach, meaning I adapt my skills according to each client, during our initial sessions we delve deeply into what brought you to therapy and collaborate to create a plan that helps you. I often explore childhood experiences in my practice through gentle exploration and kind curiosity because past traumas and experiences can have an impact on life as an adult.
Counselling offers you time you can dedicate to connecting with yourself and process any challenging experiences, thoughts, and feelings in a safe, non-judgemental space.
I offer short-term or opened-ended sessions to adults only.

I continually update my training in the most effective evidence based psychological models available. I attend conferences and workshops hosted by specialist experts in trauma, and counselling.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

I understand finding the right counsellor can feel overwhelming, so I offer a free 20 minute initial consultation by phone to discuss your therapy needs and to establish whether I am the right counsellor for you. I also offer limited reduced rates, please do not hesitate to enquire.

I work online across the UK for the majority of my working week, and from my client room in Ipswich once a week.
