About me

Do you ever find yourself reacting in ways you don’t fully understand—snapping, shutting down, or feeling overwhelmed by emotions that seem to come out of nowhere?

And afterwards, you’re left thinking… “Why am I like this?”

You’re not alone—and there is a reason for these feelings.

Often, anger, overwhelm, or emotional ups and downs are linked to past experiences that haven’t yet had the space to be understood or processed.

I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you can talk openly, without judgement.
A space where you don’t have to hold it all together.

I work with people who are:

  • Struggling with anger, frustration, or emotional outbursts
  • Feeling overwhelmed, on edge, or easily triggered
  • Going through life changes and feeling unsettled or lost
  • Carrying the impact of past experiences or trauma

You don’t need to come with the “right words” or even know where to start.
We will figure that out together.

My approach is real, compassionate, and grounded. I won’t analyse you or make you feel like something is “wrong” with you. Instead, I’ll work alongside you to understand what’s beneath the surface and help you make sense of your experiences.

Alongside my counselling training, I bring a depth of life experience into my work. I understand how hard it can be to face certain emotions—especially when they’ve been there for a long time or feel overwhelming.

Together, we can:

  • Understand the root of your emotional reactions
  • Explore what sits underneath anger or overwhelm
  • Break patterns that keep repeating
  • Develop healthier ways of coping
  •  Help you feel more in control, calmer, and more like yourself.

Reaching out can feel like a big step—especially if you’re used to handling things on your own.

If something here resonates with you, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
I offer a free initial chat so you can see if I feel like the right fit for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
