Michael Dodden

Hi, I'm Michael, let me tell you a bit about me.

I have worked in IT for many years, for some big entities in Norwich but also smaller companies. In my time I have seen and experienced burn out from too much stress, juggling parenthood with a demanding job, and felt my world was just the darkest it could ever be.

Over the years I have seen various counsellors of all types and have got through those periods of time when I needed someone to talk to, who would walk with me until I could walk on my own again. Someone who would listen, not judge me and accepted me for who I was. 

I remember during one particularly challenging session, I thought to myself, this is something I can do myself. The idea that I could help others with understanding and knowledge of the various tools available didn't seem too big a step to take. A few years later I have now qualified as a Counsellor.

I am also a trained life coach and hypnotherapist, which allows me to explore and help when a different approach is needed, I like to take a holistic approach with my clients as we are all individuals and we each respond to different approaches. 

I would like to say, you need to want to do this yourself, and be prepared to work towards whatever outcome you want and I will work with you to get there.
