About me

My name is Melisa, I am a registered Art Psychotherapist with over six years of dedicated experience working with people of all ages.

In therapy my goal is to establish a secure, confidential and creative space. We can collaborate using an integrative approach, incorporating various therapeutic frameworks tailored to your specific needs. Through a trauma informed lens, I draw from humanistic and psychodynamic theories, to consider both past and present experiences.

Life can have many complexities such as grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, relationships issues and much more. Even in therapy, words can sometimes feel overwhelming, and this is where art making can help. You do not need to be an artist to benefit, just open to the idea of an alternative approach. This is where colours, shapes and forms can convey experiences without the need for verbalisation. Here we can seamlessly blend therapy and art to explore your inner world, express how you’re feeling and embark on a journey towards healing and improved mental health.

I can offer both short and long term therapy and we will work at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Registered with HCPC and a member of BAAT.

Fully insured with an up-to-date DBS.
