I offer a safe place and confidential time for you to bring whatever issue you would like to explore.
I am trained both in Psychotherapy (talk therapy) and as a Creative Arts Therapist, (Sesame Dramatherapy) so can offer the option to talk, or to use a more imaginative, symbolic approach. The work can be focused and short term or it may need a longer on-going timescale. We will work with whatever you bring.
The work of Carl Jung, James Hillman, Thomas Moore, Robert Romanyshyn and Marian Billy Lindkvist and Marlene Dietrich are the greatest inspirers of the way I work.
As I am also an Assertion Trainer it may be that we work to build up your self-esteem and confidence, giving you everyday skills to cope with relationships, work and life in general.
I also work through Internal Family System (inner parts work) and am a qualified EMDR therapist. I also hold a Diploma in Energy Psychology and have trained as a Soul Midwife.
I am registered to practice with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists and with the Health and Care Professions Councils, and am answerable to both these bodies, regularly reviewing my practice to ensure good practice.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I work with people giving them time to tell their story so that together we can begin to discern a new way of seeing hard times as doorways to the new. Rather than getting over-involved in pathology, my practice is based on their being a creative, healthy part in everyone, however hopeless their situation appears. I call this inner knowing, "soul intelligence" and try to offer a relationship where together a way through dilemma and confusion can be discovered. The therapy has a mutual intention - the therapist and the person coming are co-workers rather than expertise being assigned to one or the other. Therapy needs to have an element of creativity, friendship and fun - it is not just about unpacking the more difficult material of life, though that is part of it.
