About me
I work with young people, couples, adults and families. I operate a private practice in the Hedge End/ Botley area near Southampton. I also work for an educational establishment and Eastleigh Youth Counselling Service.
I work with a wide range of issues. These are some of the things I can help with: Anxiety, Anger, Depression, Bereavement, Self harming, Stress and difficulties at work, Lack of confidence and low self esteem, Managing life changes
I listen carefully to find out how things are from your perspective and seek to assist you in finding the best solution. I will always work in your best interests. I provide a warm, safe and supportive environment which would help you to tackle the issues in your life at that time.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

I offer appointments from 16:00 to 21:00 Monday to Thursday, 12:30 to 18:00 on Fridays and also at weekends if needed.

Further information
My counselling spaces are warm and calming. They have plenty of car parking spaces and are easy to reach off the M27 junction 7 or 8. My sessions are for 50 minutes and there is no obligation to book a certain number or attend on a weekly basis; the frequency is up to you. Most clients get a lot from the first session and we identify the problem and how we might go about solving this.
