About me
I work with a variety of people who want to understand themselves more deeply and wish to grow. I regularly work with: bereavement, trauma, anxiety, relationships, anger and school issues. Many of my clients have spent years pushing things away, masking, or holding everything together for others. Therapy offers a space where you do not have to do this any more.
My approach is relational and exploratory. With a counselling relationship we’ll look at the roots of the problem, not just the symptoms. It can help you develop self‑awareness, heal old wounds, and create new ways of relating to yourself. It can create a real, lasting change.
I use warmth, curiosity, and steadiness in our sessions. If you are looking for support to move forward then contact me for an introductory call or that first session.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
My counselling rooms are warm and inviting. They have plenty of car parking spaces and are easy to reach off the M27 junction 7 or 8. My sessions are for 50 minutes and there is no obligation to book a certain number or attend on a weekly basis; the frequency is up to you. Most clients get a lot from the first session and we identify the problem and how we might go about solving this.
I regularly attend courses to keep up with the latest approaches for the client. Here is an example of some of my latest:
Understanding depression
Problems at school: autism, ADHD, self-harm, bullying and school system.
Coaching others to coach
Bereavement, Grief, and Loss
