About me
I am a Registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist (RDMP, UK) with over 9 years of experience working with individuals, families, and groups in community, educational, and care settings. I specialize in supporting clients dealing with work-related anxiety, relationship challenges, family dynamics, stress, and self-esteem issues. My approach is grounded in the belief that movement is our first form of communication and can be a powerful tool for expressing emotions when words fall short.
In our work together, I create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings at your own pace. Whether through movement, talking, or a blend of both, my sessions are flexible and tailored to your comfort level each time we meet. I understand that trying movement therapy can feel new and even intimidating, especially if you’ve never experienced it before. You won’t be pushed to move unless you feel ready; we will always work together to find what feels right for you, with the option to simply talk if that’s what you need.
My practice is centered on helping you connect with your body and emotions, build resilience, and find clarity during times of stress and change. We’ll explore your inner world creatively, reflecting on your experiences in a way that supports your unique needs. You’ll have the freedom to choose how you want to engage—whether moving, talking, or a mix of both—because I believe that therapy should adapt to you, not the other way around.
I understand that if you’re used to more traditional, structured therapies, the idea of Dance Movement Psychotherapy might feel different. My goal is to provide gentle guidance and a balanced approach that helps you feel more connected, not just to your thoughts, but to your emotions and body, in a way that’s accessible and supportive. Let’s work together to help you reconnect with yourself, build confidence, and navigate your challenges with greater self-awareness and compassion.
