About me
Hello and Welcome. My name is Mandy, I'm Irish and I specialise in bereavement and loss counselling. Are you struggling with the loss of a loved one, a job, a relationship, a pet or wanting to explore trauma you have experienced in your life? Bereavement counselling can help you understand and process your painful and sometimes complex emotions. For many people, it’s helpful to understand that these emotions are completely normal and part of your grieving process. Bereavement counselling can support you while you learn how to live life without your loved one in it.
I also have experience in working with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, work related stress and much more. Are you struggling with low mood, lack of motivation and drive, low self-esteem, or self-confidence?
At times life can feel so complex and overwhelming that we start to feel stuck or maybe have feelings of hopelessness. We may feel unable to trust in our ability to make decisions.
I am here to support you in making sense of your emotions and enable you to learn to trust in yourself again, to listen to yourself and find the answers within, as only you know what’s right for you. I aim to empower you to build the confidence to take control of your life again.
Counselling can help us make sense of our internal and external world. It can help you understand how past experiences may have an impact on your daily life. It can help you find meaning and a way forward that is right for you.
I am a fully qualified, registered MBACP Integrative counsellor grounded in the person-centred approach. I offer a safe space where we can work through what's going on for you.
Many people come to counselling not knowing what to expect, where to begin and if it will help. Sometimes people wonder if they will be able to open up to a stranger. This can create feelings of anxiety. For this reason, I offer a free 30-minute consultation so we can explore what working with me will look like and if it's right for you. I offer face to face, telephone, Online and Walk & Talk sessions (Weather pending)

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Online and Telephone sessions cost £45. In Person sessions cost £50 and are based in Leigh. You will be invoiced on the day of our session which will have all the information needed to make payment. Cash is also accepted.

My in person sessions are based in Leigh. In person sessions are held on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays between 8.45 and 3pm and Saturdays between 10am and 12.30. Evenings are online only.
