About me

I offer relationship counselling and individual therapy to adults +18 years old.

Are you at an emotional crossroads in your life? Do you worry about the future? Are you in a difficult relationship and feel confused or doubt yourself? These are normal feelings, but over time can manifest into unhealthy emotions. What I can do to support you is to offer you a nonjudgmental safe environment in which these emotions can be explored. Regular sessions help to create structure, reassurance, resilience and better habits. You will go away with an abundance of new skills that are essential for guiding your future self.

Who I am, I am an integrative trained counsellor and psychotherapist, which means I am informed by more than one modality, although the core of my approach is humanistic. My personal belief is we are all on our own path of self-discovery through life. Therefore, I am open to working with those whose challenges are existential or transpersonal in (spiritual/faith).

Why you may be looking for counselling.
There are many reasons you may be seeking counselling, but I imagine you are wanting something to change, either immediately or over time.
The NHS defines counselling as a "talking therapy that involves a trained therapist listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with emotional issues."

My aim is to facilitate a relationship that is tailored to you and created with you. This provides the conditions for you to explore challenges freely and safely which you maybe facing, alongside trauma or difficulties from past experiences. Counselling is not only about what we think of ourselves and our life but more importantly, our felt sense of ourselves and our visceral experience of life. Giving space and awareness to our experience is what informs us of what is needed for healing, growth, and change

I work from a quiet private room with natural light over looking the river in my Newnham-On-Severn site, a wonderful place to relax and feel comfortable.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
