About me
There are many reasons you may be seeking counselling, but I imagine you are wanting something to change. Because counselling is a unique experience for everyone, it is therefore difficult to explain how the psychological benefits are felt. However, most clients can feel the benefits from the first session.
My aim is to facilitate a relationship that is tailored to you and created with you. This provides the conditions for you to explore challenges freely and safely which you may face, along with trauma or difficulties you have experienced. Counselling is not only about what we think of ourselves and our life but more importantly, our felt sense of ourselves and our visceral experience of life. Giving space and awareness to our experience is what informs us of what is needed for healing, growth, and change.
I am an integrative counsellor, this means I am informed by more than one modality, although the core of my approach is humanistic. I believe each of us are on our own path through life. Therefore, I am open to working with those whose challenges are existential or transpersonal (spiritual/faith).
You will be welcomed into a safe working space, where you will not be judged.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
