About me

I am a Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist, and I believe that everyone is unique. Therefore, I draw upon several therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, and transpersonal perspectives. I work with dreams, art, visualisations, creativity, and various approaches to talking therapy. This flexible approach helps me meet clients where they are, offering a compassionate and empathic safe space to explore the challenges they are experiencing in a way which resonates with them.

The key guiding principle in my work is building trust through an authentic, genuine therapeutic alliance, offering a space for clients to feel they can openly express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. I work with a variety of issues, including personal growth and development, anxiety, low Self-Esteem, low Self-Worth, childhood wounding, grief and loss, relational issues, depression, and emotional abuse. All sessions are individual and unique, and our work together will be with what is present in the moment and your personal needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a five-year post-graduate diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy from the Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE). In my practice, I work by combining both in-person sessions and using online platforms such as Zoom. I work with adults over the age of 18. My interests include meditation, creativity, travel, and contemporary art. I believe art and the creative arts can open us up to many pathways to understanding ourselves, especially in combination with talking therapies.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I provide a free, no-obligation 20-minute assessment either online or by phone to determine whether we move forward to an initial consultation. The initial session lasts for 50 minutes. During this session, we explore together what it is that brings the client to therapy and what the therapy goals are. I will gather some background information and address any administrative details, and if we both decide to proceed, we will contract for 8 sessions and then review. Therapy is weekly at a set time and day.
