About me

Is life stressful or confusing? Are you having difficulty understanding your thoughts and feelings? Then, counselling may be the option for the additional support you need.

My name is Lee-Anne, I am a qualified and experienced person-centred counsellor and believe that counselling should be accessible for anyone who feels they need a little extra help.

I provide a welcoming and non-judgemental space to explore difficult thoughts and emotions you may be feeling. There are lots of reasons why people seek counselling and I make it a priority that you feel comfortable, so we can work together to improve your mental health and wellbeing.

I have a quiet, private office where confidential face to face sessions take place, but I also offer online sessions if you would prefer. Sessions tend to be once a week and last 50 minutes, with no obligation to commit to a certain number of sessions. I currently have daytime and evening appointments available and have concessionary sessions dependant on circumstances.

I offer a free of charge telephone consultation to discuss your circumstances and expectations and whether I am the right counsellor for you. This would be an ideal time to ask any questions you may have!

To book a consultation, please make contact via email and I will respond within 24 hours and get that scheduled at a time that suits you.

As a registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) I abide by their ethical framework, and am committed to working safely, ethically and confidentially. I also have a current DBS and I’m fully insured.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
