About me

Hi, I'm Kerry. Thanks for visiting my profile.

**Free Initial In-Person Session** - For Individuals and Couples.

It's important you feel we're a good match and meeting in person is a great way for you get a feel of who I am and how we can work together based on your needs.

How I Work

  • Individuals
  • Couples Counselling

Therapy should fit in with your life. I'm here to help support you and that means working together on the best approach for your well-being and mental health. It can be difficult opening up, but it can also be the first step to the life you want.

I believe therapy should be as individual as you. As an Integrative therapist, I include exploration around attachment styles, values, core beliefs, current behaviours and your relationships.

Whether we are looking at your past, present or working towards a goal in the future, we can do so together in a way that is safe, practical and above all, at the pace that is comfortable for you.

I work with many issues, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • ADHD / AuDHD
  • Autism
  • OCD / Trauma based OCD
  • Relationship Issues
  • Bereavement
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Loneliness
  • Addiction
  • Family Issues
  • Burnout
  • Work-related Stress / Anxiety
  • Social Anxiety

What To Expect From Your First Session

If you decide to go ahead, our first session will be to assess your needs and whether we both feel comfortable working together.

It is very much a collaborative relationship and one you have the freedom to decide whether you wish to proceed with or not.

Where I Work

I work from therapy rooms based in Rochford.

Rooms have a large waiting area, ample and free parking as well as easy street access.

Rooms are suitable for individual and couples counselling. They are wheelchair accessible and there is also an accessible W/C.

Outdoor Therapy / Walk and Talk

Using the local woods, parks or beaches we can engage in the natural environments around us to help regulate your emotions and body. There are so many benefits to being outdoors for your therapy sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) as well as the NCPS (National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society) .

Over the past 4.5 years I have worked with clients covering a range of mental health concerns such as Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Bereavement, ADHD, Suicidal thoughts, Low Self-Esteem, Eating Disorders, Addiction, Family Issues, Burnout, Work-related Stress and many other issues faced in their lives.

My qualifications and training include:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
  • Diploma in Couples and Family Therapy
  • CPCAB approved Walk and Talk Therapy
  • Certificate in working with OCD, the Brain and Recovery
  • Group Facilitation, key concepts and skills

I'm also a trained Life Coach and incorporate these skills into my practice. If you feel you have a particular problem or issue and want a clear pathway forward, we can tailor sessions to incorporate these elements.

If you’re not sure what to expect or what support you need, we can discuss this together and work out what is the right way forward for you.

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
