About me

I am an integrative psychotherapist who uses a combination of talking therapy and Energy Psychology techniques, which provide a deep and gentle way to access and heal emotional distress such as anxiety and depression, as well as improving general health and well-being.

I work with people who are looking for help with emotional difficulties and personal challenges they are facing in their lives, and want to learn useful techniques to help manage their stress and support themselves.

I am also a specialist in treating trauma and PTSD. Many of the problems we struggle with in life have their roots in unresolved traumatic experiences. We often think of trauma as being caused by a one off event such as an assault, accident or sudden personal loss. But it can also be a result of repeated or enduring adverse experiences - particularly originating in childhood - such as feeling unloved, emotional neglect, bullying, or physical, sexual and emotional abuse. All of these experiences can have a profound effect on how our minds, bodies and nervous system cope with everyday stress and worry.

In my work, I draw on a number of different approaches in order to provide therapy that is tailored to the particular needs and uniqueness of each individual. The evidence-based techniques I use are particularly effective at treating traumatic memory and PTSD symptoms, which often do not respond well to talking therapy alone.

Importantly, these simple techniques can be easily learnt to help you with managing stress, anxiety and negative thoughts, as well as for improving general health, energy levels and well-being.

I also have a lot of experience working with clients with ADHD.

I currently work online but am happy to arrange face-to-face sessions with clients wanting to do longer-term work.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been in private practice for over 15 years and am also the Clinical Lead for a pioneering, low cost trauma therapy charity in Oxford. I trained at the Minster Centre in London, one of the leading integrative psychotherapy training organisations in the UK. I have a Higher Diploma and MA in Integrative Psychotherapy, and am a member of UKCP, and subscribe to their code of ethics. I am also a member of ACEP (Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology).

In 2014, I completed the Converging Streams Course in Energy Psychotherapy and integrate a number of different energy psychology methods into my practice. These include Acupoint Tapping, Chakra Clearing, Ask & Receive, Tapas Acupressure Technique, and Donna Eden's energy methods.

Fundamental to my approach is the belief that we all have the potential to continue to grow throughout our lives and that we can find greater fulfilment and freedom through self-awareness and self-responsibility.
