About me
I am a UKCP accredited integrative psychotherapist, Neurofeedback practitioner and trauma specialist. I combine talking and energy therapies to provide a deep and gentle way to heal emotional distress, re-regulate the nervous system and improve general health and well-being. I also have considerable experience working with clients with ADHD.
I also offer Infra-Low Frequency Neurofeedback, a cutting-edge, non-invasive brain interface technology that calms brainwaves and alleviates a wide range of mental, emotional and physical symptoms (see below for more details).
I work with people who are looking for help with emotional difficulties and personal challenges they are facing in their lives, and want to learn useful techniques to help manage their stress and support themselves.
I am Clinical Lead for The Metta Centre for Trauma Therapy - a low-cost service offered in Oxfordshire - and am a specialist in treating trauma and PTSD. Many of the problems we struggle with in life have their roots in unresolved traumatic experiences. We often think of trauma as being caused by a one off event such as an assault, accident or sudden personal loss. But it can also be a result of repeated or enduring adverse experiences - particularly originating in childhood - such as feeling unloved, emotional neglect, bullying, or physical, sexual and emotional abuse. All of these experiences can have a profound effect on how our minds, bodies and nervous system cope with everyday stress and worry.
The evidence-based energy techniques I use are particularly effective at treating traumatic memory and PTSD symptoms, which often do not respond well to talking therapy alone. Neurofeedback 'brain training' can also be a valuable therapeutic tool in treating trauma, particularly as trauma sufferers have highly dysregulated nervous systems.
What is Infra-Low Neurofeedback?
ILF Neurofeedback is a cutting-edge therapeutic tool to optimise brain functioning and mental well-being.
Neurofeedback is a safe, non-invasive technique to train the brain to function more effectively, improving its stability, flexibility and self-regulation. This 'brain training' has been shown to have a positive impact on both psychological and physical health and is already being used to treat a wide range of behavioural, emotional and physical symptoms. These include: anxiety, depression, stress, trauma symptoms, sleep issues, migraines, ADHD, autism, emotional dysregulation, chronic fatigue and pain. Neurofeedback is also used to improve mental acuity, concentration and peak performance.
What does an ILF-Neurofeedback session look like?
In a typical neurofeedback session, the client settles into a comfortable chair while electrode sensors are placed on the scalp. The sensors capture and measure the electrical signals generated by the brain and this information is used to provide real-time feedback. All the client has to do is watch a specially designed video animation or computer game on a TV screen and report back how they are feeling. The imagery and sounds on the screen are being subtly modulated by the neurofeedback software according to the brainwave patterns being measured by the sensors, The brain subconsciously recognises the changes as being a representation of its own activity, and starts to learn to modify its own brainwaves to reach a state of greater neural equilibrium.
ILF Neurofeedback can be used as a standalone treatment or in combination with psychotherapy and energy therapy techniques. I am offering this at my practice in Cavendish Square, London W1. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been in private practice for over 15 years and am also the Clinical Lead for a pioneering, low cost trauma therapy charity in Oxford. I trained at the Minster Centre in London, one of the leading integrative psychotherapy training organisations in the UK. I have a Higher Diploma and MA in Integrative Psychotherapy, and am a member of UKCP, and subscribe to their code of ethics. I am also a member of ACEP (Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology).
In 2014, I completed the Converging Streams Course in Energy Psychotherapy and integrate a number of different energy psychology methods into my practice. These include Acupoint Tapping, Chakra Clearing, Ask & Receive, Tapas Acupressure Technique, and Donna Eden's energy methods.
Fundamental to my approach is the belief that we all have the potential to continue to grow throughout our lives and that we can find greater fulfilment and freedom through self-awareness and self-responsibility.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
