About me

Hello, I aim to make counselling accessible and affordable so that everyone can.

As a person centred counsellor I work with you to understand what you need and how to reach your ideal place. I will not give you advice or impose my judgement on you. I will gently hold a safe space for whatever you need.

My interests include continually learning, taking further courses to add more to my professional knowledge. I have had extensive experience in finance and health. I enjoy crafting and will sometimes involve creative therapy to our sessions if you are happy to get involved.

Initially, I will ask a few questions to find out more about you and the challenges you face. We will talk about how you want to work. I am friendly, empathic and flexible so we can arrange things to fit around you. I will listen and offer a safe space for you to make sense of things and to develop.

Generally, we will meet at the same time each week to set a routine. This can work to suit your schedule.

No subject is out of bounds. Whatever is causing you concern will be absolutely okay with me. We work totally confidentially.

If you think I can help you in some capacity please get in touch.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
