About me
Does it ever feel like everyone sees a version of you that’s smiling, capable, and holding it all together - while inside you’re exhausted from the constant pressure to be ‘enough’? It feels like your inner critic never has a day off. Maybe you are stuck in a cycle of people - pleasing, hiding your true feelings, and silently battling with your relationship with food, body image, often feeling shame and guilt and self loathing. You look fine on the outside, but inside it’s a different story - you’re in a war no one else sees. You’re exhausted, overwhelmed, and silently tearing yourself apart. You feel lonely, like you are the only person feeling this way and it’s tough.
Please know that you are not broken. You’ve learned to survive in ways that made sense at the time - but now they are hurting more than helping. And if you’re tired of feeling like you’re never quite measuring up, I want you to know: it doesn’t have to stay this way.
My approach is gentle, collaborative, and real. I create a safe, shame-free space where you don’t have to perform or pretend. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on for you - so you can soften that critical voice, set boundaries without guilt, and finally feel at home in your own skin.
If any part of this feels familiar, I’d love to hear from you. You don’t have to do this alone anymore.
You can see my professional qualifications at the bottom of my page, but what really qualifies me is I’ve been the person I’ve described, I’ve lived in their shoes and had to go through the process of healing from years of wearing a mask and performing day after day. Through therapy I explored what was under my mask, why I was people pleasing and why I just never felt good enough. Therapy was life changing for me and this is why I came to be a therapist, to help others who suffer like this, you don’t have to be alone with it anymore.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
