About me

“You’re the one who holds it all together - until you can’t.”

You’re the one everyone relies on - calm, capable, always pushing through. But inside, you're running on empty. Your mind races with endless to-do lists, sleep is elusive, and rest feels impossible. You might feel distant from your work or snappier with those you care about - and part of you wonders, “How long can I keep this up?”

You might not call it anxiety. You might just say you’re “stressed” or “overthinking.” But deep down, you know something’s off. You feel disconnected from yourself. The smallest things now tip you over. Rest feels impossible - or worse, like failure. After everything you've done for everyone else, you're left wondering, "who's there for me?"

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or burnt out, therapy can offer a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and find steady ground again.

What I Can Help With
I've been there, which is why I now specialise in supporting health and social care professionals facing stress, anxiety, and burnout. Together, we’ll work to ease the overwhelm, set healthier boundaries, and help you reconnect with yourself and your purpose - without pressure, judgement, or the need to keep holding it all together.

Therapy Approach
I offer integrative therapy tailored to you. That means we’ll work at your pace, combining practical strategies (to manage overthinking and stress) with deeper reflection (to understand the roots of your patterns). Sessions are focused on building your resilience from the inside out and setting healthy boundaries. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing you down and how you’d like to feel instead.

Training, qualifications & experience

When you spend your life supporting others, it can be easy to lose sight of your own needs. You show up, keep going, and stay calm on the outside - even when it’s heavy inside. Over time, that emotional weight builds. You might feel anxious, disconnected, or like you’re slowly running on empty. I've been there myself.

Therapy offers a space to pause and tend to you for once - with warmth, understanding, and no pressure to have it all together.

A Therapeutic Approach Grounded in Care and Expertise
I’m a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with a background in psychology and specialist training in working with anxiety, stress and emotional fatigue. I draw on person-centred therapy, CBT, ACT and psychodynamic ideas - always tailored to meet your needs with care, not judgment.

My qualifications include:

  • Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
  • MSc (Res) in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences
  • BSc (Hons) in Psychology

Ongoing training includes work in:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Gestalt and Psychodynamic Therapy
  • Bereavement and grief support
  • Guilt, shame and self-criticism

These tools allow us to work flexibly, combining reflection with practical support - especially when you feel overwhelmed or stuck.

Experience That Speaks to the Reality of Caring Work
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working in third sector, mental health and care roles, including:

  • Leading support services across Wales for a large national charity
  • Designing and delivering anxiety management groups
  • Working as an Independent Mental Health Advocate in psychiatric hospitals
  • Supporting adults with learning disabilities
  • Managing services for people affected by cancer and dementia
  • Offering specialist bereavement counselling

These roles taught me how emotional strain builds when you're the one others rely on - and how powerful it can be to finally have space for your own voice, feelings, and needs.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Alongside my work with health and social care professionals experiencing stress, anxiety and burnout, I support many clients who feel caught in a loop of health anxiety or fear of panic attacks.

You may find yourself constantly scanning your body, Googling symptoms, or seeking reassurance - even when part of you knows it’s probably nothing. It can feel exhausting, frightening, and incredibly isolating.

If you’ve experienced a panic attack, you may have ended up in A&E convinced you were having a heart attack - only to be told it was “just anxiety.” That moment can feel terrifying, confusing, and often hard to explain to others. The fear of it happening again can start to shape your whole life.

These are intense, real experiences. They often leave people feeling misunderstood or dismissed - even by those close to them. We’ll work gently to reduce fear, break the cycle of panic or health checking, and help you feel more in control, calm, and grounded again.
