About me

At times, life presents challenges that can evoke feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, depression, or a feeling of being unable to move forward. In therapy, I offer support to help you comprehend these issues and alleviate symptoms, allowing you to feel better about yourself, have healthier relationships, and a more fulfilling life.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in my personal experience with therapy, which was life changing. Unlike traditional talk therapies that often concentrate solely on the mind, I work in an integrated way that incorporates the mind, body and spirit to create physical, emotional and mental balance.

I work with a wide range of people on all kinds of issues. I have a particular interest in working with trauma, helping people release their symptoms to have more ease in their life. My work is influenced by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Energy Psychotherapy. Energy Psychotherapy integrates various psychotherapeutic modalities such as:

  • Psychodynamic (examining the unconscious processes that shape our present experiences based on past encounters)
  • Cognitive-Behavioural (promoting healing through understanding and changing our beliefs and behaviours)
  • Transpersonal (integrating the spiritual realm to experience our wholeness and to access our own inner guidance)

This approach incorporates techniques such as tapping or holding acupressure points or chakra energy centres. These methods engage the mind and body whilst releasing trauma and enabling healing.

I hold a non-judgemental, empathic space and collaborate with you in a compassionate manner that focuses on autonomy and empowerment. Sessions are tailored to your specific needs and personal circumstances.

Research has shown that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in successful therapy, which is why I offer a complimentary 30-minute introductory session, allowing us to connect before making a commitment to therapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
