About me

Sometimes we feel we’ve lost our way, are feeling overwhelmed or numb to everything. Sometimes we feel unseen or unheard and find it frustrating; wonder why it is happening. Or we self-sabotage; devalue ourselves and our worth. We can suffer lack of confidence, self-doubt, anxiety, depression, trauma, disconnection from the world and don’t know what is causing it. Or we are struggling with grief, identity, intimacy or relationships. Whatever your pain, frustration, trauma or inner conflict, it can help to talk about it in the safe, confidential space that counselling can offer. And you have already begun that journey of healing by seeking a counsellor you think you will connect with.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, with experience of working with people with all the aforementioned issues, and more. My roots are in person-centred talking therapy, but I can offer a somatic approach to the sessions by incorporating body awareness, and I have a background therapeutic arts.

Finding a counsellor whom you have a good gut instinct about is so important, so you feel safe, heard, understood and supported. Please do get in touch if you feel I might be the right counsellor for you, and we can have a free, informal 20 minute chat with no pressure to book an appointment immediately.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
