About me

Hello and welcome! My name is Jean. I provide a professional counselling service that focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for you to tell your story and build a better understanding of yourself. Whether you are experiencing intrusive and unwelcoming thoughts or have questions about your family, relationships, and roles, we can work together to gain new insight and understanding of feelings and thought processes that may be impacting your life in a negative way.

My counselling approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. I work as an Integrative Counsellor, utilising a variety of techniques including Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness-based interventions to assist you in achieving your desired goals.

What to expect:
As a qualified professional working alongside you, I offer a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential environment where you are able to talk freely and express your emotions, opinions and concerns with honesty knowing you will be listened to in a supportive way.

I provide professional help for a wide range of issues that may be affecting your mental health and well-being. Some reasons could include:
·      Experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety.
·      Feeling overwhelmed by stress or trauma.
·      Struggling with relationship issues or family conflict and
·      Facing major life transitions such as divorce, career changes, or loss of a loved one.
Other reasons for seeking counselling might include:
·       Feeling stuck or unfulfilled.
·       Struggling with low self-esteem or body image issues.
·       Wanting to develop better coping skills or simply to increase overall well-being.

Whatever your motive for seeking counselling, know that it's a courageous and positive step towards making meaningful changes, taking care of your emotional health, and cultivating a greater sense of wellness.

If you're interested in learning more about my approach or scheduling a session, please feel free to reach out to me via email or phone. I'm currently accepting new clients and offer both in-person and virtual counseling sessions. I look forward to working with you!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
