About me
Hello and welcome — I’m Jean, and I offer counselling for adults who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by difficult thoughts, emotions, or relationship patterns. You might be struggling with self-doubt, people-pleasing, intrusive thoughts, or a sense that past experiences are still shaping how you see yourself today.
Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling unsure about how to move forward. They might be questioning their role in a relationship, feeling disconnected from themselves, or repeating patterns they can’t quite make sense of. Therapy offers a space to slow down, explore what’s going on beneath the surface, and begin making connections between past experiences and present-day challenges.
I help clients work through concerns such as:
• Relationship difficulties — romantic, family, or with yourself
• An inner critic that’s hard to quiet
• Low self-worth and feelings of not being “enough”
• Unprocessed trauma or childhood emotional wounds
• Overwhelm, worry, or ongoing anxiety
• Patterns of self-sabotage or fear of failure and success
• Life transitions that leave you feeling uncertain or lost
My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I’m an integrative therapist, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches — including person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural therapies — to meet your unique needs. But more than any model, I believe in building a genuine relationship where you feel safe, heard, and supported in exploring your story.
If anything you’ve read here resonates with how you’re feeling, I invite you to get in touch. I offer both in-person and online sessions, and I’d be glad to answer any questions you may have about how we might work together.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
