About me

Counselling is an act of hope. It's the hope that something might get better, and for that to happen, it requires something to change.

Offering therapeutic support to others has been a priority of mine for 7 years, with the main focus on counselling sessions over the last 3 years.
As a qualified, licensed counsellor in the UK I feel passionate about offering a non-judgmental space for you to be able to feel safe exploring thoughts, emotions, behaviours, or issues you believe may be impacting you. I aim to provide a space where you feel heard

Working as a Pluralistic Counsellor I work mainly with a Person-Centred approach; however, I believe therapy should be tailored around you and offer other therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques or/ and a Psychodynamic approach.
This allows me to provide you with the correct support, to help you move forward. This can be delivered through confidential face-to-face sessions or online sessions.

My experience is with both adults and children, working with a range of areas:
Family conflicts, Trauma and abuse, Grief, Parenting issues, Career difficulties, Blended Family Issues, Caregiver Issues, Communication Problems, Domestic Violence, Emptiness, Family Problems, Isolation / Loneliness, Life Purpose, Mood Disorders, Depression, OCD, Self-Love, Anxiety, Women's Issues, Workplace Issues, Young Adult Issues, Stress, Motivation, Low self-esteem and Confidence, Relationship issues, Difficulties within the home.

I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change.

By working together, I hope to ensure you feel supported and confident that you have someone by your side through your therapy journey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Client testimonials

"I have had a lot of therapy before but I don't think anyone has really taken the time to see me in the way that Jade has. I appreciate her reflections, and when she can recognises patterns or thoughts that maybe I haven't before. I feel very supported, like my experiences really matter, and I cannot thank her enough for that."

"I have been doing counselling with Jade for just over a month now and I can firmly say that it has helped me immensely.

I had been struggling with a lot of things that had happened recently and felt like I couldn't get my head above water, then every time I felt like I had, a wave would just drag me back under.
Jade has really helped me find a pathway forwards, helping on my journey to find myself again and to move forwards with my life.
Jade took the time to listen, to understand the situation, then to help me find ways to work through it, helping me move forwards and stand on my own two feet again.
I am extremely grateful for all the help Jade has given me and I am looking forward to my future progression."
