About me

Hi I’m Helen. Passionate about helping you find a way through challenges in your life from the past or the present.   I can offer you warmth and acceptance in a calm, private and non-judgemental space to help you feel like yourself again.

I work with adults and young people on challenges including anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, relationships, low self-esteem, illness,  and identity. I work integratively, which means I will adapt to find a way for us to work together which feels best for you. I will be here to listen and help you work through your past and your present to help you find a way forward.  I work in person, online and on the phone.

Life can present challenges for us at home, at work and in relationships. Counselling offers a safe and private space to talk, to allow you to explore difficult thoughts and emotions until you find your way forward. Sometimes life can be tough, and it can feel overwhelming to find a way through alone. I’m here to be alongside you. There may be events in your past that are invading your present and affecting your ability to do the things you want to.

I feel it is a great privilege to help you work through difficulties which may then positively impact your life.

I specialise in working with the trauma of rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse. Whether this is a recent event or something that has happened in the past, having a private, calm and validating place to talk can help you to find a way to recover from these distressing experiences.

It takes courage to reach out for help, I’d love to hear from you.

As part of my practice I work with:
