About me
I offer counselling for adults and young people using person-centred counselling and CBT therapeutic approaches. Based in Southport town centre. I have experience supporting with feelings of anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, family issues, relationships, ADHD and neurodiversity, grief and loss, life changes, work, uncertainty and overwhelm.
You may have reached a point where things feel overwhelming or you might be experiencing low mood, anxiety or overload - counselling can help you to find a way through.
I believe counselling and having the opportunity to explore more about ourselves, developing self awareness and coping strategies, at any point in our life can help us to feel more equipped to cope with life’s challenges.
What counselling offers
Counselling offers you time and space to talk and unravel thoughts to gain clarity.
We are all unique - facing different situations throughout our lives. Counselling can help you to gain new perspective or insight into some of the issues that you may be experiencing.
Counselling can help you to find your own understanding, strength, useful coping strategies and a way forward through situations you are facing.
Small steps
I understand making first steps to reach for support can feel daunting and we will take things at your own pace. Counselling can be a really positive experience and through our sessions I aim to help you to find your own solutions, ways to cope and increased self belief.
Please contact me to book sessions or for more information to help to decide if I am the right counsellor for you or your young person. (please check initial email replies don’t go into a spam folder)

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
