About me

If you are experiencing self-criticism, low mood, anxiety, or struggling with the impact of trauma, then I can help you. Perhaps you want to feel more confident, have more self-compassion, or want to find a way to better manage anxiety or negative thoughts. Perhaps you never had a chance to talk about or process what has happened to you in your life. You might be doing well in life, successful in your career or with your family, but something is still feeling missing. For some people, therapy is a chance to talk through difficult family dynamics, or perhaps you are struggling to understand or make sense of the impact that your childhood and early life has on you in the current day.

If any of this sounds like you, then get in touch and we can discuss how I can help.

**Please note I am unable to respond to telephone calls. Please contact me via email.

I am unable to respond to urgent clinical matters If you are concerned your safety is at risk then please call NHS 111, attend A&E (if an emergency) or contact Samaritans on 116 123.**

Training, qualifications & experience

I aim to offer a confidential, compassionate, and empathic approach, using therapies we know work for people. I use a variety of approaches including;

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Compassion-focussed Therapy (CFT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy which is a therapy used to help process traumatic events and can be very effective. I aim to find the best approach to suit your personal needs and preferences.

I can help with a range of issues including low mood, anxiety, low self-confidence, and high levels of self-criticism. I am interested in exploring early life experiences and how these may continue to influence you today. In addition to this, I specialist in trauma and helping people to process and move forward from the impact of traumatic experiences.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Further information

I have a lovely therapy room for use in the centre of Cheltenham and also offer sessions virtually, so that you can access therapy easily and from the convenience of your home.

I realise how important it is to find the right therapist for you. A good working relationship is key to success in therapy. I offer a free 15 minute phone call for us to get to know one another and for me to hear about what brings you to therapy. If I am not the right therapist for you, I will do my best to direct you to other options.
