About me

I am an individual and couples therapist focusing on specialising in topics around intimacy, love, relationships and sexuality, and relational traumas.

Couples Therapy

Are you looking to deepen intimacy in your relationships or navigate relationship challenges and conflicts? I specialize in supporting individuals and couples on their journey to secure, growth-focused connections and deeper intimacy.

Every relationship is shaped by our unique histories and the messages we've absorbed from childhood about love and acceptance. Our pasts can complicate our ability to build relationships rooted in vulnerability, trust, and authenticity. Communication problems can lead to frequent misunderstandings, criticism, defensiveness, or emotional withdrawal. I can support you in resolving conflicts constructively and rebuilding trust, connection and intimacy.

Using evidence-based practices, I help you identify and shift the communication patterns and guide you to explore the underlying dynamics, beliefs, and habitual behaviours that often keep us stuck in the cycle of conflicts, hurt and disconnect.  Through exploring the underlying conscious and unconscious patterns, we can move beyond triggers and activation, anger, frustration, and disconnect back into secure intimacy, sexual connection and trust.

Specialisms

I work with people from all walks of life and specialise in working with:

Relationship Therapy:

  • Communication issues

I believe there are no “right” or “wrong reasons” to start therapy, and you do not have a defined  "issue" or "problem" in mind to reach out.

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm a highly qualified therapist registered with BACP  and hold a Master's in Psychology. Additionally, I have received specialised training in trauma, mindfulness-based, relational and intimacy-focused approaches,  and body-focused therapies. Currently, I mainly work online.

My approach integrates powerful tools and knowledge from modern research and body-focused therapies into a simple format.

My personal and professional explorations always continue, I have a passion for psychology and research, psychotherapy, body-focused therapies, Eastern Philosophies, relationship therapy, embodied sexuality and trauma therapy. I invest and engage in regular high-quality supervision and CPD training and other self-development courses.

I'm passionate about exploring diverse cultures and religions. Over the years, I've travelled extensively and worked around the world, immersing myself in various cultures. This journey has taken me from remote outback areas to places inhabited by nomadic and aboriginal communities. I've also delved into the rich cultural diversity within world metropolises. In addition, I have experience in the corporate world, having worked in the international travel industry.

I have more than 8 years of experience as a practitioner and trauma-informed facilitator with various modalities, including Yoga, Relational workshops, Embodiment, Mentoring and different Self-Development modalities.

My therapy sessions are affirming, judgment-free, and safe spaces for clients of diverse genders, sexualities, identities, relationships, lifestyles & practices.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
