About me

I endeavour to provide my clients with a safe, warm and accepting environment so that we can explore sensitive and hard to talk about issues when they feel alone. Everybody has a unique experience and therefore their own unique mental health challenges, I aim to meet each person where they are and facilitate a personal approach.

I have worked with a variety of clients from all different ethnicities, backgrounds and ages who have come to therapy because they are lost and struggling with life. I work with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Low self-esteem, Low self-confidence, Family issues, Cultural Issues, Trauma, Stress, Feeling of sadness and loneliness, Addiction, Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), Anger management, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Alcoholism and Abuse. 

I am a BACP Registered integrative counsellor who works with a multitude of theories and modalities: Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Humanistic, Person Centred, Attachment Theory and Mindfulness. This method of therapy allows me to offer an individualised and tailored approach to your needs as a client.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

I charge a fee of £50 per 50 minute session.

Reduced fee rate: I charge a reduced fee of £30 per session to clients who are claiming benefits or students. Please note that this must be agreed prior to our first session, and I require proof from you such as a student union card or letter, or email from the Department for Work and Pensions, in order for me to offer this service.
