About me
I am a mature therapist with over 25 years experience working both long term and short term (often 10 or 12 sessions are enough to address many concerns).
My approach is grounded and action oriented but at the same time it keeps into account spiritual needs and existential issues. I often involve the body which is where traumas are stored and, when appropriate, I use images and dreams for their ability to reach deeper than words. I weave together present and past working intuitively and creatively in a warm, interactive and non judgmental way building on your strengths and qualities, helping you to find clarity and release during times of difficulties and tension.
I have a lot of experience with issues like stress and anxiety, overwhelm and burnout, low self-esteem, depression and loneliness, relationships and family issues, loss and bereavement, life transitions, work and career problems, bullying, loss of direction, fear of the future.
Every session is absolutely confidential and lasts 60 minutes. The first appointment is just a space for us to begin to know each other and establish a bond. From the start I will endeavour to give you an idea of where I see us going and what is my understanding of your needs. All aspects of your experience are explored, honoured and taken care of.
My London office is a few minutes from Warwick Avenue and Maida Vale tube stations. My other office is in central Caversham.
I work in English and in Italian

I work both short and long-term with clients of different age, cultural background and sexual orientation. My approach is integrative enabling me to access different tools according to the needs of each client. These tools include the therapeutic use of imagery and dreams, mindfulness, psychodynamic interpretations, Gestalt and CBT techniques.
I have acted as a consultant psychotherapist and supervisor for charities working both with young people at risk and with members of staff. I have also worked for a number of Employee Assistant Programmes. I am currently associated with the following Insurance companies: Bupa, WPA, Aviva and Cigna.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
