Gina Chelton (Reg.MBACP) Grad Dip Counsellor & Clinical Supervisor
Hello, my name is Gina,
I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step into counselling and know that life can be challenging, and everyday issues can soon become unmanageable when we are not feeling ourselves. We all need some help and support at some point in our life's and part of being emotionally healthy is knowing when to ask for help.
Knowing who to choose and where to go is also difficult so here is a little about me and how I work. I am a Client Centred Integrative Counsellor with over 11 years of experience, My training and experience allows me to work alongside you and match my style to yours whilst adapting to your needs.
I will work with you to help you to make sense of the difficulties you are experiencing, which may include childhood impacts, relationships, anxiety, depression as well as sudden unexpected events, such as bereavement and relationship issues, together we can explore solutions and find new ways of coping. I offer you a safe, confidential secure space to be heard and explore what's going on for you, respectfully and without judgement.
What to expect: I offer a free initial assessment in which we will explore, what's going on for you, what support you may need and how I may be able to offer that. Feel free to call or text me to set up this meeting or to find out more. Within the centre there are a team of counsellors and therapists that can also offer you support if we felt that was a better option.
This initial session is free of charge and I offer daytime, evening and weekend appointments.
Practicalities: I work from Serenity Self Care & Wellbeing in the centre of Darwen, based on the first floor of Holker House (Darwen Heritage trust are on the ground floor), there are stairs to the therapy rooms so please check with me if you have any disability.
