About me

I am working towards becoming an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). I have a particular interest in family relationships, generational trauma and supporting people ADHD (with or without a diagnosis). I'm sure most of us have experienced "Oh love- I'll get you a brew" when we try to talk about our thoughts and feelings. As much as I love a good cup of tea, it doesn't fix everything. Perhaps you are struggling with upsetting memories, tension in relationships or in doubt about the decisions you have made in life.

My aim is to build a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to share your inner world, empowering you to continue on your own healing journey.

It's a privilege for me to be invited into a client's innermost thoughts, feelings and memories. If you feel like I might be the right counsellor for you please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Face to face appointments take place at Independence House, which is easily accessible from Huddersfield and the M62 with a large free car park. The building is risk assessed and is regularly cleaned to ensure Covid security.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am fully qualified with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I have several years of counselling experience within the charity sector. I am experienced in working with many issues including anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, generational trauma, ADHD, bereavement, relationship difficulties and more.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
