About me
Welcome! How Can I Support You?
Finding the right counsellor can feel overwhelming, but I’m here to make the process as comfortable and accessible as possible for you. Whether you prefer online sessions from the comfort of your own space or in-person support in my private, sensory-aware counselling room in Runcorn, I offer a safe, welcoming environment where you can truly be yourself.
I believe counselling should feel natural and free from judgment. If you need to vent, swear, cry, or just sit quietly with a coffee, that’s absolutely okay. Your comfort is my priority—bring along anything that helps you feel at ease.
A Sensory-Aware, Comfortable Space
My wellbeing room is designed to be a calm, adaptable space, especially for those who may be sensory-sensitive. You’ll have the option to:
✔ Dim the lights for a softer atmosphere
✔ Use fidget tools to help with focus and relaxation
✔ Play background sound/music to block out all of the little distracting noises (especially the electricity buzzing!)
✔ Experience soothing scents with an essential oil diffuser
✔ Wrap up in soft blankets for added comfort
Whether you need a quiet, low-stimulation environment or a space that feels warm and grounding, we can tailor it to your needs.
A Therapy Approach That Actually Works for You
I am trained integratively, meaning I use a mix of approaches, including some CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) techniques. However, I’ve personally had CBT before and didn’t like it! I know firsthand that many neurodivergent minds struggle to connect with traditional CBT, and it can feel frustrating when it just doesn’t “click.”
That’s why I’ve tailored my own approach—I take what’s useful from CBT but blend it with more flexible, client-led techniques that actually fit your way of thinking. Therapy shouldn’t feel like you’re forcing yourself into a method that doesn’t suit you. Instead, we’ll find what works best for you, at your own pace.
How I Can Help You
Having experienced anxiety and depression myself, I know how important it is to feel understood. As a mum of two neurodivergent children and someone who was recently diagnosed as being Autistic, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to our sessions.
I specialise in:
✔ Anxiety, depression & mental health challenges
✔ Neurodiversity support & mentoring (Autism, ADHD & more)
✔ Trauma & past experiences
✔ Self-esteem & personal growth
With a BSc (Hons) in Counselling, qualifications in Mental Health Awareness, and additional training in trauma, neurodiversity, and suicide prevention, I tailor my support to your unique needs. I am also Autism Affirming Accredited through the Autism Wellbeing Project. Finally, however I hope I never have to use this training, I am also a first aider!
A Space That Works for You
Counselling is your time, at your pace. Whether you’re looking for a space to process past experiences, navigate neurodivergence, or simply explore who you are, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can grow and heal.
The Next Step

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
