About me
Hello there, my name Emma.
I am an experienced counsellor working with people just like you. I provide a supportive nonjudgmental space where we can explore what is important in your life, a place where you can share your hopes and fears and where together we can bring about change. Counselling for me is about building a relationship with you.
I work with clients who just like you may be struggling with anxiety, depression, abuse, low self esteem or other issues that are preventing you from living an enriched fulfilling life. Most of us go through difficult times when we need a little, or a lot of support, we will work together through your concerns and tackle the obstacles that are holding you back from living your best life.

As well as practicing privately, I currently work for a womens refuge, counselling women and men who have suffered physical and mental abuse.

Sessions
I offer face to face sessions in a very relaxing setting with off street parking. I also offer telephone sessions which are ideal if you would rather talk from the privacy of your own home where you may feel more comfortable. And finally I offer walking therapy which enables us to get out into the fresh air (weather permitting) and share 50 minutes of walking therapy. Often clients find this third option very therapeutic, bringing your dog is optional.
Contacting me.
When you first contact me I will speak to you on the phone to introduce myself and hear a little bit about you and your circumstances. Between us we can decide if I’m the right fit for you and if you’d like to start having weekly sessions with me and whether you’d like face to face or telephone counselling.
