About me
I am a qualified counsellor able to work with adults and young people supporting them through challenging times, helping to initiate change and restore balance in their lives.
We all find life hard at times, psychological difficulties can take us by surprise, often feelings emerge that something is not quite right. We can feel disconnected, unhappy, tearful, anxious. Whatever your reasons for seeking help it takes courage to do this. People are often fearful of exposing their deepest selves, but with the help of the right therapist it can improve relationships and reduce emotional fear and suffering.
What I Offer
My priority is to provide a supportive and authentic relationship that will offer space and trust for honest exploration without judgement. Together we will try to resolve your problems. This might mean gaining more understanding of how your past has shaped your present, changing repeated patterns of thinking can offer the opportunity to heal and move forward. My job is to listen and stay alongside you in the work. Through exploring and reflection together, we make sense of what might be causing unhappiness, moving toward a greater sense of understanding yourself and ultimately peace.
Values and Style
My therapeutic style is primarily integrative, working from a person centred approach with integration of theories guiding the therapeutic direction. This means that the work is tailored to each client uniquely. Ultimately I see the work as creating a completely respectful and sacred space. I am passionate about creating wellness and a healthy mind and body connection.
I hold Carl Jung in particular regard and love his quote 'we cannot change anything unless we accept it'.
Initial Session
Seeking counselling can be a daunting process. It is important that you feel comfortable and find the right therapist for you. In our first meeting we can gain a sense of if it feels right for us to work together.
How many sessions
Everyone is different, some people will require a limited number of sessions, others longer term work which can be open ended. During our initial meeting we can decide together what will be best for you.
Appointments are once a week for 50 minutes.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
